State and Local Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Certification
The overarching goal of the City of New Orleans' Office of Supplier Diversity (OSD) is to connect small business owners with opportunities to work with the City of New Orleans and other public and private sector entities.
To that end, the City offers a State and Local Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Program (SLDBE Program). The core mission of the SLDBE Program is to level the playing field for New Orleans-based firms to compete for their fair share of opportunties offered by the City and its agencies. The SLDBE program is a race and gender neutral program which means all business owners who can demonstrate both social and economic disadvantage in their bakcground and/or business experiences, may qualify for certification.
Certification through the SLDBE Program provides a business greater access to contracting opportunities with the City of New Orleans, the Sewerage & Water Board of New Orleans and the New Orleans (Armstrong)InternationalAirport*.
